Parkinson's Advanced MasterClass (Excellence Network)
This course began in 2002 and now provides an in-depth programme of training to consultants and specialist registrars in neurology and elderly care, Parkinson's and neurology nurses.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for consultants, experienced Parkinson’s nurses, final year registrars, final year old age psychiatry registrars, general practitioners with extended roles, experienced neurosciences pharmacists, associate specialists, staff grade physicians, old age psychiatrists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.
Other disciplines involved in Parkinson's management are also able to attend.
What will I learn?
The course will advance understanding of Parkinson’s and related movement disorders through taught sessions and mentorship (a mentor will be appointed for each participant where applicable).
Regular updates on care management are provided annually.
Please note the dates listed above are for Module 1. To complete the course delegates must return for Module 2 on 26 and 27 November 2024 where they will present their inter-module project/audit to the Neurology Academy.
