Find out what's in store at Par-Con, our free online and in-person event for the Parkinson's community, on 11 and 12 October 2024.

Day 1: Friday 11 October 2024

Arrival and welcome from 9am

People coming to Par-Con in person in Leeds can join us from 9am. If you're attending online, please aim to join us by 10am.

Session 1: Revolutionary research

Where we are, where we're going, and how to take part.

Session 2: Transformational technology

Find out how pioneering tech is transforming research, treatment and living with Parkinson's.

Session 3: Hidden symptoms

Information about non-motor symptoms and tips on how to manage them.

Session 4: Parkinson's question time

Your opportunity to ask questions to our expert panel of neurologists, physios, nurses, and people with lived experience of Parkinson's. 

Drinks and entertainment reception (in person only)

Attendees coming to Par-Con in person can join us for a drink and entertainment to end the day.

Day 2: Saturday 12 October 2024

People coming to Par-Con in person in Leeds can join us from 8.45am. If you're attending online, please aim to join us by 9.30am.

Session 1: How to live well with Parkinson's

The hosts of the '2 Parkies in a Pod' podcast speak with a leading researcher on how to live well with Parkinson's every day.

Concurrent session 1: Parkinson's UK annual general meeting (AGM)

Parkinson's UK members are invited to join our AGM to hear reports from 2023.

Concurrent session 2: Time to connect (in person only)

If you don't attend our AGM, this time will be a chance to chat and share experiences with others in the Parkinson's community. There will also be a specific table for those who are newly diagnosed and would like the chance to meet others and ask questions.

Concurrent session 3: Medication Management

Another option for those not attending our AGM, available both online and in person, is this session on managing medication, delivered by Parkinson's healthcare professionals. 

Community Awards 2024

Celebrate and shine a light on the compassionate individuals who strengthen our Parkinson's community. This session will be hosted by Paul Mayhew-Archer.
