iSupport-PD: Can a specially designed website help support carers of people with Parkinson’s who experience thinking and memory problems?

iSupport-PD is a website designed to support unpaid carers of people with Parkinson’s who experience memory and thinking problems. Researchers at Northumbria University are building on research we’ve previously shared to further investigate whether the website could be an engaging and useful tool for carers.

Who

100 unpaid carers of people with Parkinson’s who experience memory and thinking problems as a symptom of their Parkinson’s.

What

•  Using either the iSupport-PD website or continue with your usual support for 1 year

•  Completing a 30-minute survey before the study begins as well as throughout the study at 3, 6 and 12 months. This will involve talking about your caring experiences and giving your feedback on the website if using it

•   Taking part in an optional 1-hour interview online or over the phone

•   You will receive a £10 gift voucher as a thank you for completing the study

For more information, please read the participant information sheet. If you have any questions please contact the study team by email at [email protected].
