Supporting your patients with Parkinson’s: for ward staff

You will learn about motor and non motor symptoms, explore the issues that can impact a person with Parkinson's when they are admitted to hospital and reflect on the actions you can take to ensure your patients receive the care they need.

• understand Parkinson’s symptoms and how you can support patients with Parkinson’s on your ward.
• recognise the importance of time critical medication and ensure your patients get their medicine on time.
• access relevant  resources to improve the care for patients with Parkinson's on your ward.
