What encourages people with Parkinson’s to get involved in sports?

Researchers at Sheffield Hallam University want to understand what encourages or prevents people with Parkinson’s getting involved in sports such as swimming or football. They are interested in speaking to people with Parkinson’s who do not currently take part in a sporting activity, as well as those who do.

Who

•  15 people with Parkinson’s who do not participate in any sport

•  15 people with Parkinson’s who currently play any form of leisure sport (such as swimming or football)

What

•  Taking part in an online group interview over zoom with 2 - 3 people which will last for 1 hour

•  To discuss your experiences of playing or not playing leisure sports and what has affected your choices to take part

•  For participants who live within Yorkshire or Derbyshire, face-to-face interviews can be scheduled by contacting the researcher

•  For more information please read the participant information sheet. If you have any questions please contact Adesola Abiodun by email at [email protected].
