Par-Con 2025 programme
We’re working together with a team of 13 people living with and affected by the condition to shape the Par-Con agenda. The agendas for both days are subject to change. All sessions are available both online and in person unless indicated.
Day 1: Friday 24 October 2025
Arrival and welcome from 9.30am
If you're coming to Par-Con in person in Birmingham, you can join us from 9.30am. If you're attending online, please aim to join us by 10.15am.
Session 1: Live 2 Parkies in a Pod podcast
Join Kuhan and Dave, hosts of 2 Parkies in a Pod, as they chat with experts and share their tips on how they’re living well with Parkinson’s after a combined 27 years with the condition.
Session 2: Cutting-edge research
Hear from research experts and people with lived experience about what’s new and exciting in Parkinson’s research, and what they’re most looking forward to.
Session 3: Activity hour
Get involved in some taster sessions that will get you moving and discover new ways to make your everyday life more active.
Parallel session: Parkinson’s UK annual general meeting
Ask questions about how we're run, what we’ve achieved over the last year, and our future plans.
Parallel session: Get creative (in person only)
Try out some taster sessions that will help you get creative.
Drinks and entertainment reception (in person only)
If you're coming to Par-Con in person, you can join us for a drink and entertainment to end the day.
If you're coming to Birmingham, you can also enjoy our marketplace throughout day 1. Hear more about our work, what support is on offer for you, and how you can get involved with research and activities in your area. You can also speak to local experts and get advice on what matters to you.

Session 1: Managing mental health
Hear from community members and healthcare experts about how they’re managing challenges with mental health and cognition in Parkinson’s.
Session 2: Diet and nutrition
Learn practical tips about how to manage your diet and gut health, and hear about what to look out for in the future.
