Volunteers’ Week: You Make All the Difference

Volunteers’ week took place 3 to 9 June and the theme across the Parkinson’s UK charity was ‘You Make All the Difference’.

If you missed it, we used Twitter (X) to honour everyone who dedicates even a little bit of their time, knowledge and experience to support the Excellence Network, whether you:

  • review applications for our project grants
  • have been a guest speaker at one of our Parkinson's Excellence Network events
  • answer our calls for research participants or share research opportunities with your patients
  • are a member of the Research Involvement Steering Group
  • are part of our Clinical Leadership Team
  • are one of our regional leads or Excellence Hub leads.

To you, again, we say thank you! Without you we wouldn’t be able to carry out the work we do to make sure health and social care professionals are best equipped to support the Parkinson’s community.

We also thanked the wider Parkinson’s community for their continuous support by speaking at events, delivering the ‘Introduction to Parkinson's' webinar, and sharing their lived experiences with the Network. Their valuable input enables us to carry on our work transforming health and care services for people with Parkinson's.

You can revisit the full post on our X (Twitter) feed.
