Tracking Parkinson’s symptoms, medications, and menstruation
Researchers at University College Cork are aiming to use a smartphone app called, ‘My Moves Matter’ to investigate whether there is a link between the menstrual cycle, the effectiveness of Parkinson’s medication and fluctuations in Parkinson’s symptoms.
200 women with Parkinson’s
• The researcher’s are interested in recruitment of all women at different hormonal stages of their life, i.e. menstruating, post-menopausal and pregnant
• You can take part if you are based in the UK, Europe or the USA
• Completing an online survey which will take 20 minutes to complete
• Signing up to the My Moves Matter App and tracking your symptoms there for 4 months. At the end of 4 months, you will be asked to take another 20-minute survey
• Surveys will include questions on your medications, Parkinson’s symptoms, and menstrual symptoms
