Understanding the experience of hearing loss in people with Parkinson’s dementia
Researchers at Liverpool University want to understand how hearing loss affects the daily life of people with Parkinson’s Dementia and Dementia with Lewy Bodies. They also want to explore people's experience of accessing treatment for hearing loss.
• 10 people with Parkinson’s dementia who are experiencing hearing loss
• 10 people with Dementia with Lewy Bodies who are experiencing hearing loss
• 10 unpaid carers for people with Parkinson’s dementia or Dementia with Lewy Bodies who are experiencing hearing loss
Everyone taking part must have access to a device that connects to the internet at home such as a computer, smartphone or tablet.
Completing a 3-minute online hearing test.
Filling out a survey about your background and health.
Taking part in an online interview.
• This will take up to 1 hour
• Live audio captions will be on screen during the interview
• Questions will be written on the screen as well as asked verbally
• The researcher will also provide written guidance before the interview
Those who take part will be entered into a prize draw for a £50, £30, and £20 shopping voucher.
