Our research projects are divided into two categories. ‘Cure’ projects, which develop treatments and strategies to slow, stop, reverse or prevent Parkinson’s. And ‘Improve Life’ projects, which develop treatments to improve symptoms and quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s. Our research happens in three stages:
Scientific discoveries - researchers find out the underlying causes of Parkinson's and come up with solutions to fix them.
Developing treatments - dedicated teams turn promising scientific discoveries into potential new treatments.
Clinical trials - safe and effective new treatments are carefully tested in people.
