Live Loud! voice support programme
The Live Loud! voice support programme is a free, fun and sociable Parkinson’s UK online group to help you practice speaking more loudly and clearly.
Who is it for?
Sessions are for people with Parkinson’s who want to maintain or improve the volume and clarity of their voice.
Where are the groups?
- We have groups for people living in Cardiff, Newport and Monmouthshire. You can join these groups at any time.
- We also run a Zoom group for people living anywhere in Wales.
When do they run?
- The Cardiff, Newport and Monmouthshire groups run fortnightly on Mondays.
- The All Wales group runs fortnightly on Thursdays.
What activities do you do?
Our sessions are fun and varied. They include speaking tongue twisters, telling jokes, reading poetry and stories aloud, as well as breathing exercises and facial yoga. We also have discussions, games and roleplays.
How do I join in?
Please register via this Google form to join one of the All Wales groups.
One of our volunteers will be in touch to invite you to a Zoom session or tell you that you have been put on a waiting list.
To join the other groups, email Liz Morgan at [email protected] or call 0344 225 3767.
You will need a computer, tablet, iPad or smartphone and an internet connection to take part. We can help you get on Zoom.
Can I volunteer?
We couldn’t run Live Loud! without our volunteer teams. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers. Find out more about what’s involved and how to apply.
