The Exercise Hub Study Day is back! Hosted by the Exercise Hub's core team, including Beccy Oliver and Julie Jones, specialist physiotherapists and leads of the Exercise Hub, this year's event is once again taking place in person in Birmingham.

Aimed at bring together all exercise professionals and exercise providers, the event will enable sharing of best practice and providing a key opportunity to collaborate and network with experts passionate about Parkinson’s from across the UK.

This year, the study day will focus on non-motor symptoms in Parkinson's and their impact on, and implications for physical activity and exercise. Often issues such as depression, fatigue, constipation or low blood pressure become the limiting factor in the implementation of physical activity and exercise programmes.

The Study Day will include:

  • Morning lectures looking at osteoporosis, anxiety and depression, bladder and bowel dysfunction and fatigue
  • Afternoon workshops focusing on practical solutions to exercising within the limitations of these non-motor symptoms
  • Networking opportunities to meet others from local regions to strengthen support for Parkinson's-specific programmes locally
  • Finishing the day in joyous riot with Laughter Yoga.

Throughout the day, there will be many opportunities to connect with regional and local Hub members and key Parkinson’s UK teams. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
