Parkinson’s UK’s Volunteer Awards
This year we celebrated so many inspiring volunteers and volunteer teams who went the extra mile for the Parkinson’s community. Find out more about the winners.
Thank you
Since Parkinson’s UK was founded in 1969, our volunteer community have united to transform the lives of people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones. Our volunteer community continues to adapt, thrive, and overcome barriers.
This year, we celebrated volunteers in all areas of what we do. From local groups to campaigners. From research to education volunteers. And thanks to our volunteers we reached more members of the Parkinson’s community together than ever before.
We:
-
raised awareness of LGBTQ+ members of the community during Pride month
-
worked with research volunteers to improve race equality in Parkinson’s research
-
reached isolated people in rural areas.
Thank you to everyone who nominated an inspiring volunteer or volunteer team for a volunteer award.
