What we achieved last year, together.
2024 was another tough year for everyone. But together, we continued to fund incredible research, reached more people and helped improve services for everyone living with Parkinson's.
2024: your impact in numbers
Over 17,000 people were supported by the Parkinson's local adviser service. They continued to provide invaluable support for everyone living with Parkinson's, from medical issues to benefits advice.
Over £2.5m awarded to 11 new projects through the research grants programme. All projects were selected with people from the Parkinson's community, from searching for biomarkers to investigating if a blood pressure medication could protect neurons.
Our Research Support Network grew to over 10,000. That's over 2,000 members signing up in 2024. Meaning even more people can come together to get the latest research information, opportunities and to have their crucial say on research.
Over 32,000 professionals participated in learning programmes through our Learning Hub and our volunteer led education programme.
