Our campaigning priorities 2020-24
Earlier this year we asked you what you thought were the most important issues for us to campaign on through our ‘What matters most?’ survey and our coronavirus poll.
In total almost 2,300 people in the Parkinson's community responded to both surveys. The results told us that you want us to focus our campaigns over the next four years on:
- High quality health and social care
- Having access to the right treatments, at the right time
- Being able to access financial benefits
- Getting medication on time in hospital or a care home
It is crucial that Parkinson’s UK campaigns on the issues that matter most to the Parkinson’s community. This way, people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and carers, as well as new supporters, can engage with our campaigns, helping to influence impactful change.

Laura Cockram, Head of Policy and Campaigning at Parkinson’s UK, commented: “It’s gratifying to see so many of our supporters participating in these surveys, at such a challenging time.
“The views and needs of people with Parkinson’s, and their families, friends and carers, are integral to the work that the charity does. It’s crucial we know what issues we should be focusing on in order to influence the changes that will have the biggest impact for our community."
