Par-Con
Par-Con is our free, 2-day in-person and online event for the Parkinson's community to hear from expert speakers, connect with others and learn more about living well with Parkinson's.
Par-Con 2024 highlights
Watch all the highlights from our October 2024 event, which included sessions on 'Revolutionary Research', 'Hidden Symptoms' and 'Living Well with Parkinson's'.
On 11 and 12 October 2024, the Parkinson's community gathered for Par-Con, our 2-day hybrid event held in Leeds, at the Royal Armouries Museum.
The event was planned in collaboration with a team of 8 people living with Parkinson's, who helped shape everything from the venue, to the topics and speakers on the agenda, to the activities provided.
Over the 2 days, attendees heard directly from experts, learnt more about living well with Parkinson's and connected with others navigating similar journeys. We had sessions on the latest research, cutting-edge technology and more.
Highlights included a live recording of the podcast '2 Parkies in a Pod' with special guest Professor Bas Bloem and our 2024 Community Awards.
Reflecting on the experience, one attendee shared:
“As a family managing a recent diagnosis at a relatively young age - this event had provided so much information to help us navigate these early days; and importantly provided hope for a brighter future. We have found our tribe. Thank you.”
What will happen next year for Par-Con?
We're currently planning what Par-Con 2025 might look like. We'll keep this web page updated.
