Review our health content as a healthcare professional

Our expert review group is for health and social care professionals who work with people with Parkinson's.

We’re looking for healthcare professionals working with people with Parkinson’s to help review our health content. Our health content carries the Patient Information Forum Tick accreditation, meaning it is:

  • evidence-based, with high-quality, recent references
  • reviewed by healthcare professionals
  • reviewed by people with Parkinson’s and carers, friends and family.

How it works

Usually, we'll ask you to review our information booklets. Sometimes it might be a shorter piece of content or a short video. When a suitable project comes up, we'll contact you to see if you're available.

We'll ask you to make sure our content is:

  • accurate
  • reflective of UK clinical practice
  • relevant and accessible to people living with Parkinson’s.

Why get involved?

There are many benefits to getting involved with our reviewing process. By volunteering you can:

  • make sure we’re providing the Parkinson’s community with the best information possible
  • share your expertise
  • volunteer in a short-term, convenient way, from home. Most of our booklets take approximately 2-3 hours to review
  • help review information that matches your clinical interests.

Your help is essential

Last year, we sent out over 230,000 printed booklets and our online health content received over a million page visits.

Without your support, we can’t publish or update our content. We credit all healthcare professionals who help us review our work in our booklets with their permission.

Your work

How many times a year do you feel you can review our information?
Each project may be a webpage, a leaflet or a booklet, so the length will vary.

Conflicts of interest

Finally, please let us know of any conflicts of interest. Your answers won't mean you can't join the review group, but may influence which information we ask you to look at.

Do you receive payments from a pharmaceutical company or organisation that produces equipment relevant to people with Parkinson's?
Are there any other factors that could be considered a conflict of interest that you think we should be aware of?
